Nomadic Systems · Camp Goods

Camp goods designed
like furniture.
Built for the field.

We build premium camp equipment — field kitchens, tables, storage systems — with the material integrity and design discipline of the built environment. Multi-function by design. Durable by default.

Design Principle Every product does more than one thing. A table that organizes. A kitchen that deploys in 90 seconds.
Material Standard 5052-H32 aluminum. Waxed duck canvas. Oiled white oak. 304 stainless hardware. No compromises.
Production Approach Limited runs. American fabrication. Field-tested before first sale. Fewer products, made right.

The Origin
Barron Link and his wife Elsa lived in a Scamp camper for seven years. Not a stunt — a strategy that let them buy land and build their own home. That lived experience, combined with a background in environmental design and a belief that constraints produce better objects, is what Nomadic Systems is built on.
Phase 1 Products

The field kitchen.
The field table.

Design Approach

Three things we
never compromise on.

Constraints that define every product in the line — from the first sketch to the last weld.

Principle 01
Multi-function is the design brief
A table that organizes. A kitchen that serves as a prep station, storage system, and windscreen. Every NS product does more than it looks like it does. Single-purpose products don't earn their space in the truck.
Principle 02
The deployment ritual is part of the product
Setup time is the behavior blocker. If it's a chore to set up, it doesn't get set up. NS products are designed to deploy in a predictable, satisfying ritual — the feeling of putting on a well-made jacket, not assembling flat-pack furniture.
Principle 03
Material honesty at every joint
5052-H32 aluminum because of its corrosion resistance, not because it's cheaper. Waxed canvas because it ages well, not because it photographs well. 304 stainless hardware everywhere. The material decision is the design decision.

Who It's For

Built for people who
build things that last.

Not ultralight minimalists. Not big-box campers. The person who renovated their kitchen and still can't find camp gear they're proud of.

Weekend Overlanders
30–45, truck or SUV, 3–5 trips a season. Have spent too much on gear that doesn't hold up or doesn't look right. Done buying twice.
Creative Overland Couples
Campsites that photograph well matter. They want gear with a consistent aesthetic — not five products from five brands that don't belong together.
Land Owners
Setting up on their own property for extended stays. Want systems that are semi-permanent, structural, and feel like a real outdoor room — not a campground setup.
