A backyard shed, built first so that the thing it was for could be built at all.

What is the smallest amount of infrastructure required before the real work can start?
Before there was a company there was a shed, and before the shed there was nothing but a yard and a plan that was obviously too big for it.
I mention it because it is the most honest thing in this entire index. Every project since has had the same shape: the work you have to do before you are allowed to do the work. The permit before the pour. The operating system before the second company. The maintenance plan before the building is worth having.
Nobody photographs that part. It is most of the job.
